Obviously I wouldn't be trying to connect it simultaneously via cable and bluetooth :) Thanks, yeah I only mentioned about using the cable, so that anyone reading would know the controller itself is working fine in Windows. What a hassle, and very unintuitive to have to do all this to set up the device - It would be great if this were documented by 8BitDo. Now I guess I need to figure out why it works in Steam when plugged in via the cable, but not via bluetooth. I went into the game controller settings and was able to confirm that the controller is working. Another "8BitDo Receiver" device appeared in my Windows device list (there are now two of them, one being the wireless adapter and the other being the controller). This time, after a few seconds, the controller gave a little vibration and the LED went solid. Now, the device shows up in Windows as "8BitDo Receiver", instead of "Controller". The "USB Adapter" device has version 2.01 firmware, and the log says it now supports "8Bitdo Pro 2 bluetooth controller". Looking through the list, I selected "USB Adapter" (as opposed to my device, which is "USB Adapter for PS classic"). This let me choose the device to update, rather than allowing the tool to detect the device automatically. I dug a bit deeper and found that it was possible to manually update the firmware via the 8Bitdo firmware upgrade app. I am familiar with this option, as I frequently toggle it on my laptop. This is where I am stuck, because there is no option to turn on bluetooth. The little manual for my Pro 2 says that to use it in Windows, with Bluetooth, I need to press Start to turn on the controller, press the pair button for 3 seconds until the LEDs begin to rotate left to right, then go to the Bluetooth settings in Windows and turn it on. It shows up in the "Bluetooth & other devices" section of the windows settings under "Other devices". I plug in the wireless adapter to a USB port (tried regular 2.0 and a 3.0 port) and it is detected simply as "controller". I now want to use the the wireless (bluetooth) adapter. I've had the Pro 2 working fine with the cable, on my Windows 10 PC. I have a Pro 2 and a USB Wireless Adapter Bluetooth Receiver (PS Classic version).
